Thanks to the first experiences and numerous feedbacks from our users, we wanted to take advantage of a short article to present some of the advanced features of our new platform. If you are not familiar with the terms instant booking, personalized prices, minimum / maximum duration, etc. you might probably learn one thing or two.

However, we have introduced new functions to give you more autonomy in managing your vehicles. And don’t forget, when you make a modification, to click on “update” to save the new information.
Currently, and to streamline transactions, an interested renter can make a booking request before being verified. Why? This way, the owner can already clarify his availability, and at the same time the renter can upload his documents in the system. Verified renters have a ✅ next to their username.
In all cases, if the renter does not meet the requirements (25 years and 3 years license), there is NO rental. Because otherwise, our insurance would not cover damage.
When you have confirmed availability, the renter has 24 hours to enter his/her credit card information. Passed this time, the system cancels the request and makes your vehicle available again for other requests. It is a safety for us and for you. Indeed, without this information, we can neither block the deposit nor charge cancellation fees (if applicable). So before fixing an appointment and blocking your time to hand over the keys, make sure that the reservation has been pre-paid: the status must change from “awaiting payment” to “booked“.
Instant booking is a function intended mainly for professionals, but which can also be activated by individuals. This function basically allows you to “skip a step”, that is to say that the system will consider your vehicle as automatically available (unless dates are indicated as unavailable in the calendar) and automatically validate the request. The renter will be required to enter his credit card information directly and the request will be validated more quickly. However, this implies that you keep your calendar up to date. In any case, a cancellation is always possible from your user account, even if the request has been validated. Please take into account our cancellation policy (here).
You can block dates in the calendar, e.g. when your vehicle is not available (garage service), when you need the bike for test drives (open day at your dealership) or when you use it for a longer period (e.g. road trip). Click on the date in the calendar tab to block, and click again to unblock. And don’t forget to save your changes.
You have the option to add a custom price and select the duration to apply for this price. For what purpose? You would have the possibility of making a low and high season price for example, or of applying a higher price when there is a holiday (eg the WE of Swiss National Day August 1st). However, we invite you to stay (price) competitive in order to put all the odds on your side.
You have the possibility (for an extra-charge of 35CHF for 14 days), to put your listing in the spotlight. It will appear at the top of our home page, as well as in search results. You will therefore gain visibility and traffic to your ad.
The minimum rental period is 24 hours. We do not want to make hourly rentals, which would be too restrictive for users. Indeed, do you want to fill out the contracts, inspect the vehicle, etc. for a 2-hours rental?
However, you can indicate a higher minimum duration (for example min 2d), but be careful because a too long minimum duration could be an obstacle for the prospective renters.
In addition, you can indicate a maximum reservation duration, if you do not wish to part with your vehicle beyond a certain duration (eg max 7 days). Please also note, a too short maximum duration could be a deal breaker for prospective renters. And keep in mind that a longer rental means more money for you and no additional work 🙂
We also offer the possibility of making long-term pricing, 7 days and more, and 30 days and more. Even if it is optional, this function encourages prospective renters to rent longer. We are also working on the introduction of a facultative progressive discounting percentage, but this will probably happen later in the year.
Cruizador charges transaction fees to owners and renters.
This commission covers the development of the platform, the marketing costs, as well as the technical support, the management of the claims if necessary, etc. We hope to be able to reduce the commission, when we have sufficient volumes and above all when we can renegotiate the various fees with our service providers. But for now, if we want to keep guaranteeing the quality of the platform, respond to all your messages personally, follow up, etc. we must be able to cover our costs.
